I’m not sure if I’ve laughed so hard or as much as I did while shooting Britt + Tye’s wedding a few months back at the Vinoy / Museum of Fine Arts in St Petersburg. We do our best to get to know our clients on a personal level, always making efforts to connect and understand them so those great shots occur more naturally and frequently, so it’s not un-common for me to find myself chuckling behind the camera as I watch the day unfold. But seriously…there were times when my arms went limp and I was simply unable to hold up the camera. You know you’ve “connected” with a couple when they have you completely incapacitated by telling a quick joke before the reception begins, or by throwing out a random “That’s what she said…” during the wedding party photos. I could literally go on and on… 😉
Needless to say, when I first met Britt + Tye in our studio back in February, I was pretty sure we would all be seeing each other much more often, even outside of the “wedding photography” realm. But keeping more on point, their inspired, gorgeous and all around fantastic wedding was a true honor and pleasure to document. We simply must also credit the fantastic team of vendors, particularly the Kelica Events team (Jessica, Kelly, you rock our socks off), for keeping everything on track and most of all TRULY stress free. Shoot on past the break below to see a smattering of Britt + Tye’s wedding images. Enjoy! 🙂
“Checkmate” seemed particularly appropriate given the bride+groom’s unique sense of humor. 😉
Truly stunning florals were provided by Belleair Florist.Talk about right place at the right time…these two flower girls were the CUTEST!
Such a beautiful and fun group of bridesmaids. And a great group of guys–thanks to Evan for capturing all the funny moments.
Beautiful circular ceremony setup–LOVED how this all came together and how intimate it felt during the ceremony.
Stunning candlelit chuppah. Completely transformed the room.
So sweet.
My “assistant” capturing the happy couple from another angle. 😉
An impromptu game of football before heading back in to the cocktail hour. 🙂 Yeah these guys rock.
Such a beautiful couple…
The reception room was stunning. Wow.The arrival of the royal couple distracted the guests from Britt + Tye’s surprise entrance on the upper sky bridge for their first dance. So fun! 🙂
Most people saw these as a cupcake holder. I like to think outside the box. 😉Some hard-core partying and of course an energetic sparkler exit to round out the evening.
And lastly just a quick screengrab below to show a few funny notes I wrote after initially meeting with Britt and Tye at our studio here in Clearwater. As a rule of thumb, if you meet with a potential client couple and they let you drive their German sportscar, it’s a good sign. 😉 Thanks again, buddy. I’m available to car-sit anytime.
